Behind the creators

We don’t do boring. We are drawn to things that are a little quirky, a bit unique, and not like something you will find at every other shop.

We’re a neurodivergent family, and that shapes the way we work together. Between autism, ADHD, and three very different ways of thinking, our creative process isn’t always particularly conventional. We like to follow our interests, and experiment with whatever catches our attention, which will occasionally result in way more ducks, dragons, and tiny creatures than we originally intended.

Everyone contributes in their own way. Some ideas become products, some become experiments, some are absolute disasters, and others simply become stories we tell later.

For us, making things is more than a business. It’s a way for our family to create together, build confidence, explore our interests, and make room for each of us to contribute in the ways that work best for us.

We don’t have a perfectly polished workshop or a perfectly predictable creative process—and that’s ok with us.

After all, the best curiosities rarely come from doing things the ordinary way.

Crochet, sewing, jewelry, 3D printing, design, and generally having too many ideas.

The Creature Capturer — [Layla]
Helps with creature ideas, naming, choosing colors, photos, and quality control.

The Duck Wrangler — [Erik]
Responsible for duck-related decisions, drafting 3D ideas, inventory management.

The Overseer — Dad [Mike]
Man behind the curtain, heavy-lifter, moral support, problem-solver, head of maintenance.

Quality Control team — Sapphire & Bootsie [Cats]
Feline support group, providers of emotional purr regulation, checkers of 3D print quality via “portal” (the glass printer door).
